Elephant Sanctuary is a true bushveld experience complete
with elevated wooden
walkways, and beautifully constructed decks overlooking water,
riverine and outdoor areas, a Curio Shop and Reception.
 
DAILY TOURS OFFERED AT THE ELEPHANT SANCTUARY:
1: The Trunk-in-Hand program
An experienced guide will introduce you to the elephants and you will
learn about their backgrounds, behaviours, characters and more, while
being able to touch, feel, feed, interact and walk trunk-in-hand with
the elephants.
The first Trunk-ln-Hand program starts at 08:00.
Program duration 1.5 hours. (Programs run throughout the day.)
2: Elephant Brush Downs
This is a very special program - you take part in the morning grooming
of the elephants.
This is followed by the Trunk-in-Hand program.
This program starts at 7h15 am sharp.
3: Trunk-in-Hand & Elephant-Back Ride:
This includes the full Trunk-In-Hand program followed up by an elephant
riding experience - a privilege historically reserved for kings! It is
a truly amazing experience to ride these magnificent animals. 4: Sundowner Elephant Experience
This program takes place at the end of the day and includes walking, feeding,
riding and touching elephants. On hot days you may even see the elephants swimming.
Watch elephant free-feeding.
All followed by sundowner drinks and snacks. Program duration 2 hours.

Policy Regarding Children:
Children of all ages are welcome on all interactive elephant experiences and
can walk hand-in-trunk with the elephants. Only children over the age of 8 years
are allowed to ride. |
